The classic Marrakech day trip to Ouarzazate and Aït Benhaddou is remarkable value — around €22 for a 12-hour guided run over the High Atlas. If you have two days, the Zagora and Dades overnight tours cost roughly €60 and show you three times as much.

Are the day trips from Marrakech rushed?

Honestly, a little. You will get roughly two hours at the ksar, which is enough to cross the river and climb to the granary but not to linger. If the photograph matters to you, take a two-day tour or stay the night.

Can I book a private tour?

Yes. Private options run from a single-day Marrakech round trip to a two-day itinerary with an overnight in the village — you set the pace and can add Telouet or the Ounila back road, which group tours never include.
